The Ultimate Wireless Connection

It has been said there is a spiritual solution to every problem. You may ask how do we connect to spiritual solutions when we are stressed and overwhelmed? The answer is simple. Prayer.

Prayer is the language of our soul, and it unites us to our deepest power. Prayer is a technology that advances our experiences of happiness. Many of us do not leave home without our smartphones, but prayer is the ultimate wireless connection.

Throughout the ages, wise people have employed prayer to get rid of despair and reap endless benefits. Make the connection. Pray and great things will happen to you and the world!

Treat Yourself to a Colorful Life

Holding onto regret drains our energy, leaving less energy for life in the present. The attachment to regret is depleting on the spirit, so we must fully be present to fuel our well-being today. We must release our former self with forgiveness and not dwell on the past.

When we release regret, a colorful life of meaning and purpose will arise. Today, put energy into something that is creative, as well as constructive for ourselves and others. By taking responsibility in the present, we can release our hold on the past.

The Inner Light of Identity

Human beings tend to focus on character traits, roles and learned behavior to cope with the world around them, but our true selves exist whether we acknowledge them or not. It’s difficult to separate true identity from the created identity thrust upon us, but when we recognize our divinity, we cannot help but live authentic lives of gratitude and appreciation.

Rediscovering who we are takes courage and it can be difficult unlearning learned behaviors. As we reconcile our spiritual and physical self, as well as our inner and outer worlds, a sense of wholeness will be felt, and our inner light will radiate through. It’s our inner light that unites humankind, and brings love and peace to earth.

The Gift Of Reconnecting With Old Friends

Every person that passes through our lives makes an impression whether that is small or big, and whether they stay for a short period or a long period. When a friend from the past reappears, it’s a gift.

Friends that reappear can act as messengers, reminding us of something we have forgotten to take care of or nurture within us. Friends can teach us to react to an old situation in a new way or solve unresolved issues so that we may move forward in our lives.

When fate brings old friends back, it’s usually for a good reason. Embrace old friends and stay open to benefit from the message. A renewed contact is a gift that should not be taken for granted.

How to Combat Worry?

Gratitude is known to affect our brains at a biological level just like antidepressant drugs Wellbutrin, which increase dopamine and Prozac, which increases the neurotransmitter serotonin. When we feel grateful, it activates the brain region that produces dopamine and serotonin.

Gratitude makes brains happier, not the achievement of goals. When we achieve a goal, we become briefly happier, but then we look for the next thing to bring us joy. Furthermore, our connection to other people (and our appreciation of others) makes us happier so we must deepen our social investments in the middle of stressful situations or events.

Remember, being happier will make us more successful, not the other way around. Simply put, to be happy be grateful and connect with others. It’s all about good habits which will overcome genes every time. I give gratitude a thumbs-up!!!

There Is No Fear In Love

The world defines freedom as a life without any restraint. The world says we can have our freedom, but only by being totally selfish.

Real freedom can be achieved when we’re free from fear, where we’re truly free from guilt, bitterness, and worry. When we’re free to quit pretending, for example, by the clothes we wear and the status we hold then we can be free to be ourselves.

How to get rid of fear? Just remember we are all loved by the source of humankind. That’s the secret of self-esteem. We are loved and there is no need to prove it!

The Hot Dog Is A Celebrity In Its Own Right

The Hot Dog is not just an American icon, but a celebrity in its own right, appearing in hundreds of movies, books, television shows, commercials and more. Show-business personalities and sports celebrities are often seen and photographed eating hot dogs.
A trip to a hot dog restaurant was the focus of a Seinfeld episode created by comedian Jerry Seinfeld. It has been said that Babe Ruth loved his hot dogs and binged on them before his games. Barbra Streisand had hot dogs delivered to London for a private party.
There are many types of hot dogs but the spicy chili sauce topping is all the rage. At Hotdogue Culture we believe the hot dog deserves its own star on the Walk of Fame!

What Does A Greek Poet Have In Common With A Hot Dog?

Sausage is one of the oldest forms of processed food, having been mentioned in Homer’s Odyssey as far back as the 9th Century B.C.

Although most hot dogs are made from pork and beef, recent health concerns around the nutritional content of traditional versions encouraged producers to provide healthier alternatives. Hot dogs made from turkey or chicken are available in most supermarkets, and many meatless alternatives (vegetables or soy products) are also available.

So, go ahead and choose a healthy alternative and add some nutritional chili sauce from HotDogue Culture. Hmmm, delicious.... Homer would be jealous!!!

Is a Hot Dog a Sandwich?

Hot dogs are processed protein, surrounded by processed carbohydrate so one might call them a sandwich. On the other hand, hot dogs are cylindrical in shape rather than prismatic, and vertical rather than horizontal in orientation. Here are five reasons why the hot dog is not the same as a sandwich:

1.   Imagine being at the ballpark with the organ playing, the crowd cheering and a vendor walking through the stands saying “Sandwich, get your sandwich here!”

2.   If you were watching a great athlete showing off during a game, you don’t call him a sandwich.

3.   Dirty Harry would not have sounded nearly as ominous if he said, “Never ever put mayo on a sandwich.” But when he said, “Never ever put ketchup on a hot dog,” people sat up and listened.

4.   Marlene Dietrich didn’t say that champagne and sandwiches were her favorite foods; it was champagne and hot dogs she loved.

5.   Babe Ruth wasn’t sent to the hospital and rumored to be dead because he ate too many sandwiches.

Get Your Red Hots!

The hot dog, a type of sausage was imported from Germany and made popular in the United States. The hot dog developed an association with baseball and American culture. The term “hot dog” is credited to sports cartoonist Tad Dorgan.

During a 1901 baseball game in New York, vendors began selling hot sausages in rolls. From the press box, Tad Dorgan could hear the vendors yelling, “Get your dachshund sausages while they're red hot!”

In the 19th century, German immigrant butchers in the United States sold variations of sausages; some were thin and long, like the dog breed Dachshund. They called these Dachshund sausages. Over time, the phrase evolved into “hot dog.”

Today, hot dogs have won the world over, and they're no longer just served at hot dog stands or carts in New York City. The gourmet hot dog has inspired a new culture! Join the culture… hotdogueculture.com.

How to Get Closer to Our Twin Soul

To get closer to our twin soul we must prepare by growing spiritually, and we must humble ourselves. Initially, we must forgive ourselves and then forgive others. We must love unconditionally. Unconditional love means loving thy neighbor as thyself. If there is no preparation, pride will blind us to our twin.

Twin souls are like one person divided into two, but not one soul divided into two. And, when they meet they know instinctively that this is their twin. The vision, feeling, and perspective of twin souls are one, and despite individual faults, they love one another unconditionally.

Twin souls have a deep sense of care for each other which does not allow for envy, and if there is any pain caused by one to the other it is strictly because of the lack of awareness. When twin souls finally meet, any age difference is of no consequence to them. Before the meeting, there is sadness and suffering which has no end in sight, but suddenly the twin appears!

Think Different to Act Different!

The way we think determines everything – like the way we feel  –  and this determines how we act. To change the way we act we must change the way we think. Thinking differently will change our emotions and our behavior. Remember, we are not what we think we are.

It’s extremely important that we renew our mind. The battle starts in the mind and must be dealt with in the mind. If we challenge our thoughts, we can be more creative, more innovate, and we can be better people! Remember the phrase, mind over matter?

Cheers to Love 2017

The word peace is associated with the Christmas season and peace is what we all want during the holidays. We long for peace within and peace with others. The holidays are supposed to be wonderful, bringing us peace on earth, but our lives instead are rushed, filled with shopping and parties.

Western culture tells us we need more of everything, but the only thing we truly need during the holidays and beyond is peace on earth, and one way to gain peace is to remember we are love. Without love, we are nothing!

The greatest illusion mankind must overcome is the illusion of separateness. Elevate love and unity. Everything we do this year needs to come from a state of abundance and surplus, from a state of love. Love is the most wonderful time of the year, so begin 2017 with love!

When Positive Thinking Doesn’t Work

What do you do when someone rubs you the wrong way? Most people will complain about the other person. Does this work? Probably not. So what should you do instead?

Positive thinking is all the rage, but this only works on self. Positive thinking cannot change the other person nor does complaining work. They only thing that can make a difference is to pray for that other person.

So when someone rubs you the wrong way pray for them. It can change them and you in the process. Remember, prayer can make the impossible possible.

Super Grateful Leads to New Solutions

In the U.S., Thanksgiving is celebrated once a year. But we should be thankful for what we have all year long. We need to give thanks for our blessings on a daily basis. We need to practice gratitude. Happiness is not the absence of problems; it's the ability to deal with them!

It’s hard to see the positive things in our lives when there are all kinds of obstacles in the way, but this is a good time to be grateful. Gratitude helps us see our situation in a way that can lessen our panic, as well as open up our thinking to new solutions. Just remember to be super grateful for all your blessings!!!

Pleasant Memories are a Choice

What should we remember about people? The answer is simple. Remember the good. We shouldn’t dwell on painful memories, but instead, we should focus on the good in people.

We should be grateful for our friends and relatives because perfect people do not exist. Focus on their strengths and not their weaknesses. We must release any hurt so we can enjoy being around them.

We can choose what we’re going to remember about the past, so remember the good experiences and stop focusing on the negative. Pleasant memories are a choice so choose to remember the good! My friends and I enjoy watching baseball games wearing our coolest shades, and those are experiences to remember!

A New Perspective on Creativity

Creativity is a function of curiosity and imagination. Knowledge and evaluation are imperative too. Creative people observe and make use of all of their senses. Individuals who are creative perceive the world in new ways, and they turn their imagination into reality.

A few things to increase creativity are: read things you don’t usually read, experience as much as you can, be careful of how your perceive things, let ideas incubate, recognize patterns, connect new dots, redefine problems or issues, and last but not least look where others are not looking.

For creativity to emerge it’s important to question and observe, and be open to different ideas and perspectives. Beliefs that only special, talented people are creative are a myth. Creative people practice just like athletes do, and creativity is a crucial factor for future success.

Saying “I’m Sorry” Isn't Enough

For a relationship to be restored we need to go beyond the words, “I’m sorry.” We need to admit we were wrong, and at the same time we need to be truly sorry. It’s hard to “forgive and forget” because you cannot forget when someone has hurt you, but you can trust that from the hurt good can come out of it.

Unfortunately, rebuilding trust between two people can be  complicated. Forgiveness is unconditional and should be immediate, but trust takes time. For a relationship to continue there must be change by the person (or dog in my case) that has caused the pain.

So, when things turn sour, we must admit we were wrong, and we need to be truly sorry. There is no other way. And if you're madly in love like me, making up is the best part of it all!

Everything has Limits!

We live in a culture that says we can do and have it all! The truth of the matter is there are only 24 hours in a day and time management strategies cannot change how many hours we have. It’s a good idea to spend precious time doing the things that matter most to us.

We shouldn’t add things to our schedule without taking things away. We must know our limits. It’s a good idea to add things that help with our purpose in life, and remove the things that don’t and ultimately waste our time.

When we are fatigued or stressed, this is a warning light that says slow down. When we have lost our happiness or are short-tempered, it’s a good sign that we have overloaded our schedule. Remember, everything has limits!

Got Inspiration?

There are many places to find inspiration. Inspiration can be found in nature by going for a walk and don’t forget the dog if you have one. Inspiration can be found online by reading a great blog post, and it can be found in people by asking them what they are most grateful for or what they love doing most in life.

Inspiration can also be found in oneself. It is a good idea to disconnect and have a day without pressure and stress. Journal writing and expressing oneself creatively is a great way to find inspiration. Moreover, reflecting on everything learned and accomplished is an extremely helpful way to get inspired.

When we feel like nothing excites us, there is always something that can interest us or be curious about. Even though we may not feel particularly creative, doing something is usually a great way to get inspired, so stop thinking and start acting.
